ELMS Lifestyle Village Presentation

On Monday 26th August , MLMYC was invited to do a presentation at The Elms retirement village. Ross Bessell organised this event with Elms Management & MLMYC. The display and movie gave a picture of What, Where and Who for those attending. A Sausage Sizzle, Coffee and Cake was put on by the Lovely Ladies was most appreciated. Well done! to those who brought along their boats for the display Garry Polomka , Geoff Fox, Brian Marshall, Ross Bessell, Gerhard Giebel, John Moore, Chris Levi. Job well done!


Annual General Meeting,  August 3rd 2024

AGM has been and gone with a new Board of Directors elected. Members heard reports from the office holders and were provided with access to more detailed financial statements. Please come early to find a seat.

A Board Meeting was held on Tuesday 23rd  at 4pm 2024 at the Parafield Gardens Community Club, 65 Shepardson Road Parafield Gardens. Directors stayed for a meal afterwards are most welcome.


LIGHTS AT MAWSON 14, 15, 16TH JULY 2024

Mawson Lakes Boulevard is set to glow as the City of Salisbury holds a new family-friendly event, Lights @ Mawson – and it’s all FREE.

The event will feature both day and night attractions with giant inflatable sculptures that light up at night and inflatable mazes – exotic handmade creations painted by Canadian and Australian artists.

FOREMAN MODEL SHIP COLLECTION  

Commenced - 12 weeks.

The City of Salisbury is hosting a display of the Foreman Model Ship Collection in their Community Hub alongside Parabanks Shopping Centre. The first display has commenced and will run for 6 weeks. Boats will then be swapped around for a second display for another 6 weeks. The display covers the Tall Sailing Ship era and follows through time to include tankers, container ships, tug boats, cruise ships and ferries etc. It's free and is indoors in airconditioned comfort. There is a great coffee shop on site and some comfy chairs to rest should you wish to take a break. Call in and have a look. See what else our Council has on the go.
